Regulars vs. tourists: knowing who walks in your door
May 26, 2026
Two coffee shops can pull the same number of cups a day and be in completely different shape. One is full of regulars who come back three times a week. The other is full of tourists who'll never return. The first one is building something. The second one is running on a treadmill.
Daily sales won't tell you which one you are. Your returning-customer rate will.
When every guest connects to your Wi-Fi, you can see it plainly: how many people are new this week, how many are coming back, how often, and how long they stay. That single ratio, regulars to first-timers, is one of the clearest signals of whether your shop is winning loyalty or just renting foot traffic.
Once you can see it, you can act on it. Win-back emails for the regulars who've gone quiet. A great first impression for the newcomers. We'll dig into both.
